X ray baggage scanner is being used in many places, like Airports, Transport terminals, Buildings, Factories, Courthouses, Embassies, Military installations, Prisons, Hotels, Schools, Convention Centers, Security Checkpoints and Special events location and is now is now part of our platform along with exceptional detection system which uses a Computer Vision techniques to detect weapons present inside the baggage.

We provide the whole solution hardware and software to accurately detect baggage moving through entryway, doorways, or choke points via X-Ray Machine in a variety of areas. We use our Computer Vision and highly trained Artificial Intelligence Model and an enterprise alert system to focus on Detecting Weapons like Gun, Knives, Star Blade, Needles, Razor Blade etc. with a higher accuracy to provide you in maintaining more safer environment. Alert can be sent to mobile phone, VMS, Security Platform, or a cloud website. It is fast, friction-less, contact less, and very accurate.

Methodology

To detect objects, we will be using an object detection algorithm which is trained with Google Open Image dataset.

Object Detection

Object detection is a technology that falls under the broader domain of Computer Vision. It deals with identifying and tracking objects present in images and videos. Object detection has multiple applications such as face detection, vehicle detection, pedestrian counting, self-driving cars, security systems, etc.

The two major objectives of object detection include:

To identify all objects present in an image
Filter out the object of attention

We have trained our Weapon Detection Model in Python with the help of the ImageAI library.

ImageAI

ImageAI is a Python library built to empower developers to build applications and systems with self-contained deep learning and Computer Vision capabilities using a few lines of straight forward code. ImageAI contains a Python implementation of almost all of the state-of-the-art deep learning algorithms like RetinaNet, YOLOv3, and TinyYOLOv3.

YOLO

“You Only Look Once” is an algorithm that uses convolutional neural networks for object detection. You only look once, or YOLO, is one of the faster object detection algorithms out there. It is a very good choice when we need real-time detection, without loss of too much accuracy.

In comparison to recognition algorithms, a detection algorithm does not only predict class labels but detects locations of objects as well. So, It not only classifies the image into a category, but it can also detect multiple Objects within an Image. This Algorithm applies a single Neural network to the Full Image. It means that this network divides the image into regions and predicts bounding boxes and probabilities for each region. These bounding boxes are weighted by the predicted probabilities.

Above chart shows the detection of various objects while scanning the baggages at the airport with our Detection System installed in the main server.
The data is collected for a single day and visualized as above.

Deploy Detection System
